TAITRA Occupies Significant CES Booth Space

2023/01/20

The 2023 International Consumer Electronics Show (CES) is taking place at the Las Vegas Convention Center and Venetian Expo Center from January 5 to 8. Compared to 2022, this year the Show occupies a total of 11 venues with an area of over 2 million square feet of floor space. Exhibitors include Bosch, LG, Microsoft, Nikon, Google, Volkswagen, Amazon, GM, Qualcomm, Omron and other major brands.

The booths housing a large number of Taiwan companies and products are located at the Venetian Expo Center. The Center also exhibits winning products of the CES Innovation Award, part of the industry theme pavilions and the national pavilions. Product categories covered include Sports Technology, Family & Lifestyle, Smart Home, Food Technology, Digital Health, and more. On the first day of the exhibition, most buyers asked about products related to rehabilitation, smart medical, and home use. Some retail traders also came for a visit.

The U.S.A. is the largest export market for Taiwan’s consumer electronics products, with total exports exceeding US$14.6 billion in 2021. Taiwan is the 4th largest source of U.S.A. consumer electronics imports, next to China, Mexico, and Vietnam. Staple export commodities are switches, routers, and other networking equipment and servers. Demand for consumer electronics products is expected to slow down or show negative growth in the first half of this year due to factors such as U.S.A. chip sanctions on China, inflation, and rising interest rates in the U.S.A. However, in 2023, physical business activities are expected to recover significantly

An OMO marketing project by Taiwantrade, which combines offline trade show marketing and digital online marketing, is a must-have marketing tool for Taiwan exporters to move forward in difficult times. CES is a must-attend event for all exhibitors. This year, there are more than 3,200 companies from 173 countries and regions (42% of which are new exhibitors).
