Organized by the Bureau of Foreign Trade, MOEA, co-organized by Kaohsiung City Government, and jointly executed by the Taiwan External Trade Development Council and the Taiwan Industrial Fasteners Institute, the Taiwan International Fastener Show 2023 gathered nearly 300 manufacturers, packing the South and North Halls of the Kaohsiung Exhibition Center. The show attracted nearly 10,000 industry professionals from both domestic and international markets, an increase of 7.2% compared to pre-pandemic levels.
According to TAITRA, there were 1,100 international buyers from 60 countries/regions. The top five countries in descending order were India, the United States, Japan, Germany and Thailand.
Taiwan is renowned as the "Kingdom of Screws" and its fastener industry has the most complete supply chain from upstream, midstream, to downstream. Made in Taiwan fastener products not only feature consistent quality and leading technological innovation, they also combine the latest industrial technology and software and hardware system integration to provide high-end applications for industries such as automobile, medical equipment, aerospace, offshore wind power, and information technology.
In addition to exhibiting the latest technologies and innovations in the fastener industry, the exhibition organizers held multiple industry forums, procurement meetings, and a manufacturers podcast, attracting many industry experts and scholars to share their experiences and achievements.
This year's Fastener Show featured numerous high-tech fastener products and machinery from major manufacturers. Furthermore, the organizer offered an exhibition tour, guiding buyers to gain a deeper understanding of the strength of Taiwan’s fasteners. In addition, for industry professionals who were unable to attend the show in person, the Taiwan International Fastener Online Show was launched on May 3rd with a two-week exhibition period and was complemented by a podcast called Manufacturing Addiction. Through online and offline integration, the global perspective of the Taiwan International Fastener Show has been expanded, with the essence of the Kingdom of Screws broadcast to every corner of the world.
Fastener Taiwan 2023, which returned after a five-year hiatus, not only promoted communication and cooperation within the industry, it also injected new vitality and energy. Fastener Taiwan 2024 is scheduled to be held from April 16–18, and the latest exhibition news and registration information can be found on the show's official websites (exhibition website: www.fastenertaiwan.com.tw/online exhibition: online.fastenertaiwan.com.tw).
